Oh wow I finally learnt to crochet, the kids can now come out from there hiding places :) It did not matter how many books I tried or youtube I watched I just could not quite get it right I was nearly there but something was missing until....... I was pointed in the direction of this blog http://doyoumindifiknit.typepad.com/do_you_mind_if_i_knit/2009/05/pattern-for-the-sisterhood-crochet-blanket-square.html Oh what a star this lady is, she shows you how in such easy understandable steps I can not thank her enough really. After reading the basics I went back and retried that dreaded granny square that I was having such bother with, and I did it oh yes finally.. How happy am I with this little pic
Well as its my first crochet creation it will sit with pride on my kitchen window sill complimenting a vase of flowers or a plant pot.
Oh yeah so happy now what do I crochet next :0)

That is wonderful! I started out with a little square like that almost 2 weeks ago, and I've just been going round and round, and you should see the size of the blanket now! I plan on making it a double size blanket, and it is almost there. It is so easy and quick to do once you get the hang of it.
I went on Youtube and followed a tutorial on there to start me off, I find it much easier watching someone do it rather than read from a page and try to figure out the insructions.
